Binding two lives together in marriage is always worth celebrating. And the shape a wedding celebration takes should be just as unique as the couple at its center. So as Kimberly and Will prepared for their ideal wedding day, they went small on the guestlist but big on the emotion—with a summertime elopement at The Inn at Park Winters.

Their love story began with a date at a coffee shop. Simple, right? But the way Kimberly tells it, they were diving deep into talk about values, family and even marriage. It was “natural and magical at the same time,” she recalls. Before they knew it, they had closed down the place.

With long walks, at-home date nights, and plenty of movie nights they continued to grow together. They found that they couldn’t see a future apart from each other. And so just five months after their first date, they found themselves shopping for rings. Before long, they were planning a cozy elopement for the summertime.

They landed on the sprawling grounds of the Inn at Park Winters as their venue of choice. They’ve clearly got great taste! The centerpiece of the estate is the historic house that serves as the Inn, offering all sorts of elegant space to get ready for the day—as well as kitchen for sneaking some bites of their wedding tart. Though the ceremony itself took place in the sunken garden. There, surrounded by manicured foliage and walkways, they exchanged vows and jumped the broom (an African American wedding tradition). Of course, we also had to explore the koi pond fountain. We made time to catch some golden hour rays in the wooded area. They cuddled with the iconic Tower Suite in the frame. And … well, you get the picture.

Speaking of getting the picture, here’s how their elopement at the Inn at Park Winters looked . . .

Kimberly and Will, it was a joy to take an all-access look into this relationship you’ve built. You’ve got that sweetness, that swagger and that trust that will carry through life’s highest and lowest days. I pray that what’s to come is far better than you ever expected.
