I awoke that morning to light spilling through unfamiliar lace curtains. I hadn’t noticed them the night before. I’m not sure I noticed much of anything after arriving late to this rural Pennsylvania town the preceding night. But a good night’s sleep later and I was ready to photograph this destination wedding…at the Murder Mansion.
My throat stung as though I’d swallowed shards of glass. My knees buckled a bit from weakness. My eyes wanted nothing more than to close up shop for the night and rest.
And yet there I was, dragging my camera and tripod out to the shores of New Hogan Lake at ten o’ clock at night. Foolishness. (more…)
I first met my dog when he was just a pup. A runt at that. While the rest of his brothers and sisters ran all around the yard, only he followed me around with little legs and sad eyes. I took him home.
It was much the same that Saturday morning when I met this fellow. It was his ears that won me over. (more…)
After eight years of dating and even engagement, Shaina and Joshua were finally calling it quits. More accurately, they were giving up their old relationship for a new life of wedded bliss, and Erica and I were thrilled to photograph their wedding day there at Carmichael Presbyerian Church. (more…)
