Sure, Jaslyn and Kilian have an obvious chemistry and their sense of humor is top notch. It’s clear they’ve hit the jackpot in finding each other. But what I really love about these two is just how much they love to explore (and photograph!) the great outdoors. When we were brainstorming about where we might capture their engagement photos, snowshoeing, hiking, and camping were all on the table. But ultimately, they chose the closest redwood forest they could find—opting for a UC Davis Arboretum Engagement session. ‘Cause everyone knows that cuddling is better in the woods.
Take a look at what we created in this beautiful patch of forest…
Planning a UC Davis Arboretum Engagement Session?
The UC Davis Arboretum is a sprawling park and public garden whose walking trails stretch for several miles along Putah Creek. Because the foliage varies so much in each section of the arboretum (and varies by season), you may want to scout out where you’d like to capture your photos before your session. These UC Davis Arboretum engagement photos were captured in the winter, and so we focused our session at the T. Elliot Weier Redwood Grove. Though there are fields, ponds, flower gardens, gazebos and plenty of other features in other sections. Don’t forget that you’ll need to pay to park in most lots near the arboretum, though parking is free on weekends.
Ready? Book your engagement session at my online calendar!
